MacTavish Kennels

We have been breeding the Scottie for 15 years but have owned and loved them for much longer than that. We breed once or twice a year at the Kennels and our focus is producing happy, healthy and well-adjusted pups which become great family members. We are particularly careful of the health of the Scottie and we do genetic testing of all of our dogs. We are equally careful of the temperament of the Scottie and aim to keep his nature true to the breed.

Libby is a qualified all breed dog and cat groomer with over 15 years experience. She has worked in grooming salons in Montreal and Ottawa and has been grooming at the Kennel for the past eight years. Please visit the grooming page for more information.

MacTavish Kennels is also a small boarding establishment specializing in providing a home-like environment for our visitors. We keep the numbers of dogs in the Kennel small so that we can give each dog the individual attention and socialization which are necessary when away from home. We are members of the Canadian Kennel Club, the Canadian Scottish Terrier Club, the Scottish Terrier Club of America, the Rideau Terrier Club and the Ottawa Kennel Club. All of these organizations demand high ethical standards of their members and we conform to or exceed those standards.
